An adorable Theraphosidae spider
with its huge eyes stares down the camera lens as it is covered by the
rain in a forest near the Po river. Water also clings to creatures hairy
legs as it grips the ground at an angle.
The eyes of this damselfly makes the tiny insect look huge as it clings to forage in the Italian woodland. The insect conceals its two-inch body and transparent wings by clinging on to the blade of grass with its black, hairy legs. A number of small pellets of moisture hold on to the top of the animal's head above its piercing blue eyes.
