11+ Adorable Kittens Flaunting Their Oh-So-Scary 'Murder Mittens'

If you're like me, you were totally unaware that there's an entire subreddit devoted to showing off a kitty's greatest, most ferocious assets — its murder mittens.

Otherwise known as "claws."

Indeed, the group appropriately titled r/murdermittens allows cat owners a safe place to share the most terrifyingly sweet photos of their furry feline flaunting their scratchers for the world to see. To them, they're a force to be reckoned with. To us, they're very small fur balls with the cutest little claws we ever did see.

1. Don't make me use these.

Although only flashing a peak at the full capacity of his murder mittens, this kitty is letting you know what awaits if he doesn't get some scratches behind his ears ASAP.

2. All the mittens are out, so he means business.

A playful tug-of-war game can be fun, but this kitty looks like he isn't really to go down without a serious fight.

3. I dare you to sit.

My guess is that 0.5 seconds about the photo was taken, this cutie pounced and showed its owner what those baby murder mittens can do.

(Hint: not very much, but they're still sort of sharp so watch out.)

4. Gotcha!

Now that this kitty has a hold of its owner, I suspect that person thought out their next move very carefully, lest they wanted some scratched-up fingers to deal with.

5. A very might roar, I'm sure.

Clearly, this kitty is practicing making itself as scary as possible. From the murder mittens to the "keep your distance" face, I'm sure it'll have no problem telling all enemies to beware.

6. Wait, what are these mittens for?

As innocent as this kitty may look, I trust that if necessary, it could use those super scary murder mittens to get the job done.

And if I ever happened to be on the other end of such an attack, I don't think I could possibly be mad because just look at how fluffy it is!

7. You've been warned.

The sign really says it all. Clearly this kitty wasn't in the mood for visitors, and if the murder mittens were enough of a clue, the sign should really help get that message across.

8. Fear me!

I know I'm supposed to be scared. I know that.

But all I want to do is hold this lil' cutie and listen to it meow all day long because my heart truly can't handle all this cuteness in such a smol package.

Hey, if the murder mittens aren't enough, sometimes you gotta flash a little tooth to really let people know they shouldn't mess with you.

Honestly, this picture feels like sinister and more like a reminder.

I'm sorry, all I can really focus on in this picture is this little guy's perfectly pink jelly beans! I know there are some very scary claws attached to them but I just wanna touch his lil' feets so dang bad.

13. Scary stretch.

This cutie may not seem very ferocious on the outside. But all you have to do is look into those dark eyes to know there's a fighter underneath all that adorable, smokey-colored fur.

14. Just a lil' pair of murder mittens.

I think this itty bitty kitty is trying to lull us all into a false sense of security. He's too small to do anything, right? He would never hurt anyone ever!

Except, take a look at those claws and see if you still feel that way. He knows what he's got and he's not afraid to use them!
